Who we are

"Padel Accountants" ("we", "us", "our") refers to Rebel Two Limited, registered in England & Wales with registered number 17420366, whose registered office is at 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA.

For the purposes of data protection legislation we are the data controller, which means we decide how personal data about you is held and used. Our data protection point of contact is Alastair Barlow, who can be reached by email.

How we collect your personal data

We obtain personal data about you when:

—you ask us for a proposal or book a call about our services
—you, your employer or one of our clients engages us, and during the work itself
—you contact us by email, phone, post or social media
—we receive it from third parties or public sources, such as your employer, your booking platform or Companies House

What we hold about you

—your personal details, such as name, address and email
—records of our contact and correspondence with you
—details of the services you have received from us
—any complaints or enquiries you have made
—information from research, surveys and marketing activity
—information from other sources, including publicly available records

How we use it

We process personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, your employer or our client, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. We also process it for our own legitimate interests, provided those interests do not override your rights: business development, statistical and management purposes.

Where we rely on your consent, for example to send you marketing, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing our data protection point of contact. We may process the same data on more than one lawful basis depending on the purpose.

Where we need to use your data for a new purpose, we will only do so if that purpose is compatible with the original one, and we will tell you the legal basis first. If you decline to give us information we have asked for, we may not be able to carry out our work or meet our obligations.

Sharing and transfers

We share personal data with third parties where the law requires it, where it is necessary to run the relationship between us, or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so. Those third parties are our IT and cloud providers, our accounting and bookkeeping software providers, professional advisers, and our banking and payment providers. Each is required to take appropriate security measures and may only process your data on our instructions.

Enquiries sent through the form on this site are received and stored by Netlify, our website host, forwarded to our Google Workspace mailbox, and notified to our team in Slack. Where you book a call, the appointment is held in Google Calendar. Each of those providers processes that data on our instructions. We do not keep enquiries that do not become engagements for longer than we need them.

Some of those providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, the transfer is made under an approved safeguard such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses. We may also share data with a regulator, or in the context of a sale or restructuring of the business.

Security and retention

We have appropriate measures in place to stop personal data being lost, altered, disclosed or accessed without authorisation, and we limit access to those who need it for their work. They are under a duty of confidentiality. We have procedures for handling any suspected breach and will notify you and the regulator where we are required to.

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, taking account of our statutory obligations. Accounting and tax records are generally retained for seven years. Please tell us if your details change, so what we hold stays accurate.

Your rights

In certain circumstances you have the right to:

—request access to the personal data we hold about you
—ask us to correct it
—ask us to erase it, where there is no good reason for us to keep processing it
—object to processing based on a legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time
—ask us to restrict processing while an issue is resolved
—ask us to transfer your data to you or another controller, where that is technically feasible

There is no fee for exercising these rights, although we may charge a reasonable fee, or decline, if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity first.
